What are Benchmarking Reports

The Benchmarking Reports are available inside the Reports Tab. 

Please note the Benchmarking Reports are not available on all subscriptions and are ONLY available in the Primary File Type.  

The benchmarking reports groups all files in Mod Advisor by 3 digit NAICS Code and when the file type is Primary. The dataset will aggregate all files nationwide by the 3 digit NAICS Code and by the date range indicated in teh report.  

The following calculation types are excluded from the dataset.

• Future
• Historical
• Imported
• Scenario

In order for the Benchmarking Report to work, the mod file must have a Governing Class Code that is set via the Classification Tab.  Many payroll codes have a default value that has been assigned in the Classification Tab, but there are also a number of payroll codes where a default value has not been set. 

In the event that your Benchmarking Report shows an error, please navigate to the Classification Tab and set the payroll code descriptions and then refresh the mod file using the refresh icon next to the mod value.  This should fix any issues with your benchmarking reports.
