What is the Mod Change Log
Last Updated: 7/2/2025
The Mod Change Log is used to identify when an account was created with a future rating effective date but Mod Advisor had to use the current information available. Then the file was updated using the new rating information when it becomes available. Mod Advisor provides a notification that will appear in the mod change log.
Here's how it works.
Let's assume a state updates their rating information annually on Jan 1 and we are looking at a file with a Rating Effective Date of April 1, 2025. In this scenario Mod Advisor use the current rating information. But then a user creates future mod has with a Rating Effective Date of April 1, 2026 for forecasting purposes. In this scenario we'll use the current and only available information.
When the new rating information becomes available and is loaded into Mod Advisor it will impact this mod file that should be using 2026 information but had to use 2025 information at the time it was created.
When the new information is loaded will automatically update these future files and provide a notification. There are a couple of ways this notification will be provided.
Everytime Mod Advisor updates rating information a notification is provided via the notification center. Then Mod Advisor updates any files impacted by this new information and provides a notification to each user via the notification center. The notification will contain a link to each file as well as and excel file for download. The notification will show the original mod value as well as the the mod value with the new rating data.
This will also be identified in each individual mod file change log.
