Injured Body Part Explanation

Last Updated: 8/20/2025

There is a column on the Claims Tab labeled - MA - Injured Body Part.  This is different than the column Injured Body Part.

MA - Injured Body Part provides a set of defined values that can be selected ensuring continuity across an organization.  This field is used to power the following reports in the summary and detail section:

  • Loss Analysis Summary - MA - By Body Area
  • Loss Analysis Summary - MA - By Body Part
  • Loss Analysis Detail - MA - By Body Area
  • Loss Analysis Detail - MA - By Body Part

The column labeled Injured Body Part allows for user defined values to be entered and is also what is populated when importing loss run data.  When possible this data is automatically mapped to a corresponding MA - Body Part Value.  The Injured Body Part Column is used to power the following reports.

  • Loss Analysis Summary -  By Body Part
  • Loss Analysis Detail - By Body Part

Please note you can customize your view and turn these columns on/off in your user profile.

Here is a video.
