Why are policy periods highlighted in red?
Experience rating rules dictate the policy periods that are allowed to be used in the experience mod calculation. Mod Advisor follows these same rules.
If a policy period is entered into Mod Advisor that is outside of what the rules allow, then each table will be highlighted in a light red color on the policy, payroll, and claims tabs. An error message will also appear on the bottom of the policy tab that says "Highlighted Policy periods are outside of allowable range and will not be included in experience rating."
For general rule reference the rules state that any policy effective date that falls between 21 months to 57 months from the rating effective date should be included in experience rating.
If you don't want the incorrect policy period to be shown, the easiest thing to do is select the policy period from the policy tab and delete it. This will delete all the following payroll and claims data.
