What Does Lock Account Do

Lock Account Overview

The lock account option on the Account Menu provides an option for user to lock the account and restrict other users from accessing the account or any files contained in the account. 

Common reasons for this may be to restrict access to sensitive data or prevent unauthorized users from modifying the data contained in an account.

Here's how it works:

Any User can lock an account.  If another User tries to access the account they will receive a message that tells them the account is locked and the User that locked it.  

Any Admin can unlock an account.

If an account is locked it must be unlocked in order for any file to be accessed or any information such as excel data or report data to be downloaded.

Files that are locked will appear in red.
