How to create a Scenario

Mod Advisor can create alternate scenarios for mod impact of claims and associated 1 and 3 year premium impact.  To utilize the report Loss Analysis Detail - Claim Scenario Impact Analysis information needs to be entered into the Scenario Tab located in the mod file.

How to create a Scenario.

  1. Navigate to the Scenario Tab in the Mod Advisor file. 
  2. Select Create Claim Scenario Group.  Enter a name for your group. 
    • Please note you can create multiple scenario groups.  
  3. Enter your claim information such as the state, injury code or type, and incurred loss amount. From there, the associated mod impact will be calculated.  
  4. If you'd like to adjust the claim count, then you will need to select the injury code of 5* or 6* for Grouped Claims. 

After your scenario has been created, navigate to reports and you can select the report under Detailed Reports.  The report name is Loss Analysis Detail - Claim Scenario Impact Analysis

This report is helpful in communicating the various mod impact of claims by state and by injury type.  For example entering an Indemnity Claim and then entering the exact information for a Medical Claim can easily show the mod impact and premium impact of why a return to work strategy can help reduce costs.
