Cause of Injury Explanation
Last Updated: 8/20/2025
There is a column on the Claims Tab labeled - MA - Cause of Injury. This is different than the column Cause of Injury.
MA - Cause of Injury provides a set of defined values that can be selected ensuring continuity across an organization. This field is used to power the following reports in the summary and detail section:
- Loss Analysis Summary - MA - By Cause of Injury - Main Category
- Loss Analysis Summary - MA - By Cause of Injury - Sub Category
- Loss Analysis Detail - MA - By Cause of Injury - Main Category
- Loss Analysis Detail - MA - By Cause of Injury - Sub Category
The column labeled Cause of Injury allows for user defined values to be entered and is also what is populated when importing loss run data. When possible this data is automatically mapped to a corresponding MA - Cause of Injury. The Cause of Injury Column is used to power the following reports.
- Loss Analysis Summary - By Cause of Injury
- Loss Analysis Detail - By Cause of Injury
Please note you can customize your view and turn these columns on/off in your user profile.
