Last Updated: 11/23/2025
Mod Advisor uses the following columns to identify the Type of Injury.
- Injury Code
- Injury Type
The Injury Code references the Bureau Report codes and has the following values:
- 0 - Report Only
- 1 - Death
- 2 - Permanent Total Disability
- 3 - Major Permanent Partial Disability
- 4 - Minor Permanent Partial Disability
- 5 - Temporary Total or Temporary Partial Disability
- 5* - Temporary Total or Temporary Partial Disability (Grouped Claims)
- 6 - Medical Only
- 6* - Medical Only (Grouped Claims)
- 7 - Contract Medical or Hospital Allowed
- 8 - Compromised Death (CA Only)
- 9 - Permanent Partial Disability
- 12 - Extraordinary Loss Event (ELE)
- 15 - Indemnity
When looking at loss run data and manually entering in the claim information it is typically not known what the exact Injury Code is. This is why the Injury Type Column Exists and when you use the Injury Type, Mod Advisor will apply the following mapping.
- Medical Only = 6 - Medical Only
- Indemnity = 15 - Indemnity
- Report Only = 0 - Report Only
Please note, there is no industry injury code 15. This is internal to Mod Advisor to identify that the type of Indemnity claim is not known. In the calculation all Indemnity claims are processed the same way.
